I recently linked a non reloadable prepaid visa to my paypal then bought a game on steam but decided to get a refund for said game. but paypal said the refund will be sent back to the card but its non reloadable. will I just lose the money or what will happen.

Regardless of card type, a refund can always go back on the card. Just don't lose the card in case you want to make an in-store purchase or something. If there is an issue refunding to card though, call the card issuer for assistance. Refunds to cards may take up to 30 days.
