Enquiry about refund

I tried to send money oversea to my friend two weeks ago, but the money kept on pending. So i decided to cancel the payment yesterday, and pay pal said it's refunded to my account. But i did not received the money. On the other hand, i need the money urgently. What should i do?

Refunds go back to original payment method and arrival times differ depending on the funding source.

PayPal balance is fairly instant.

Cards take about a week, up to 30 days depending on your card issuer.

Bank payments take, depending on your bank and country, 3-5 or 5-7 days.
