Email regarding my address being changed

I received an email today that my address was changed at 6:18 a.m. but I did not change it.  It was changed to a women who lives in Australia.  I went into my Paypal account and it still shows my address and name.  I don't know if the email is a scam, as it looks official from Paypal.  I don't want to click on the link it tells me to click on to confirm my new address if it's a scam.

Has anyone else received an address change email from Paypal?

Thanks.

I had this happen as well, about 2 weeks ago. I notified PayPal immediately that i did not authorize the change, and reveived no response from them. Since then, $450+ was taken from my account. I'm in the middle of a dispute with PayPal. I hope the same doesnt happen to you!

Hi @mollymika,

I’m sorry that you received this notification and understand your hesitance to click on the link. There are many things to look for to determine if the email is fake or not. Things such as generic greetings, misspellings and requests to click on links are a few. More information can be found here. Anytime you are unsure if an email is from us, you can forward it to us and we will let you if it is or not. Remember to delete it once it has been forwarded.
