Completed Payment to Recurring Payment

I have PP for business.  It is possible to convert or re-bill a "completed payment" to a "recurring payment" where the recurring payment is a lesser amount (monthly).  For example, I build a website and charge $___ dollars.  But, then, need to charge a much less monthly hosting/maintenance fee for $___ dollars.   I can re-bill with different amounts on Authorize.net but see that this is possible within PayPal.  

Am I missing it or is it not possible.   Thanks in advance for any hellp.

No... no one has provided a solution except to say they would escalate up to the technical support.   Honestly, this is some of the worst support I've ever received.  No wonder merchants choose alternatives to PayPal...!!
