Commercial payment vs private payment

Hi, my employer told me that my account is set to only receive commercial payments. Those are on hold by paypal every time for 21 days. Instead I need to change my account to be able to receive private payments. The payment is coming from Europe, I am in South Africa. Any idea how to do that? Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you are only able to receive commercial payments. If other people are also not able to send you personal payments, please reach out to Customer Service for assistance, to allow them to take a look at your account and see if there's anything that needs to be changed. Click Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website for contact options.

If the person paying you is paying for a service, that type of payment should be a Goods and Services payment.
