Account hacked, claims automatically denied.

We have been victim of unauthorized payments which are denied by PayPal.

I have created a PayPal account for our Non For Profit. We didn’t check this account as the amount of money we received from donation was limited and we are busy with our activities. We also didn’t receive any email informing us about payment being sent. The account was constantly hacked as soon as we started receiving donation and all the money we received for the last 10 months (almost 700$) was transferred to different unknown private accounts. We have reported the theft as soon as we found about it (which was 10 months after the first hack had occurred). But our reports were automatically denied by Paypal and despite multiple call to explain on the situation. Our claim was denied on the base that “there is a consistent pattern of sending payments to different accounts”, which is exactly the pattern of unauthorized payments that we have been reporting to Paypal as soon as we found about it, so it doesn’t make any sense to deny the theft for that reason.

It is already very traumatizing to have been hacked, it is even more traumatizing to see the harm and theft being denied by the platform that we have trusted to receive our payments. Of course, we have also completely lost faith in PayPal being a safe platform to receive donations.

How can we have a fair and proper treatment of this case?
