BITCOIN - COURIER SCAM??

Hey,

I recently had something up for Sale on Gumtree (Australia) i was contacted by a buyer via Email after she said she was interested in purchasing and said they could pay the full amount via Paypal but first the money wouldn't be released until i paided $200 to Bitcoin (wallet) for a courier to come collect the product. Then Paypal requested $800 more as there minimum payment from Bitcoin was $2000, so they asked me to refund the buyer $800 so i could collect a certain amount. I have gotten many red flags during this process and lost $200.

I am writing to you all because i want to know if anybody else has had something like this happen, i asked the buyer to send verification on who they are (drivers license/med card) so i know if the buyer is real or a bot. Anybody have anything similar happen?

Had the same problem here in the UK.She paid £100 more than the price of the item but my funds wouldn’t be available until I transfer £100 from my bank account to a website for bitcoins.Luckily I talked to one of the agents on that website and he told me is a scam.I didn’t go through with the payment.

Scams been going on for about 15 years, and all over the internet and this forum in one form or another.
