missing debit or credit card button in Live Mode

Hi,

I am using Paypal Payments on four websites(for customers) and using Paypal "Standard Checkout". I was seeing both pay options a) PayPal button and b) debit or credit card button. For the past 10 days, I only see the paypal button and don't see the credit/debit card button.

Paypal Team said there is no problem from their end.

When I switch to sandbox Mode, I see both buttons.

Kindly help.

Good day @digixess,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.

Unfortunately, Guest payment checkout(i.e payment via credit/debit without PayPal account) feature is not available for all Customers/Buyers.

It's important to remember that guest checkout is not guaranteed for every transaction.

To receive guest checkout payments :

Enable the PayPal Account Optional option in your account settings.

Login PayPal.com >> Settings >> Account settings >> Website payments >> Website preferences >> PayPal Account Optional >> toggle "yes" .

If your website(built via third party platform) processing payments via "Express Checkout" integration, I request to please contact your website developer (or) support of your third-party platform to pass the variables "SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole" and "LANDINGPAGE=BILLING" in the SetExpressCheckout payment API request call to make sure guest checkout is offered as often as possible.

Guide link - https://developer.paypal.com/docs/nvp-soap-api/set-express-checkout-nvp/

PayPal runs a risk check to determine eligibility for guest checkout. There will be times when guest checkout is not available.

Note : If you have implemented latest PayPal Smart button REST API integration, please see enable funding.

Sincerely,

Chiranjeevi

Hi @MTS_Chiranjeevi

The below setting is already in place

Login PayPal.com >> Settings >> Account settings >> Website payments >> Website preferences >> PayPal Account Optional >> toggle "yes" .

The "debit or credit card" option was visible on live sites from the beginning. It suddenly disappeared about 13 days ago.

Paypal Support team said their is no problem from their end.

As told the issue is on Live Mode . On sandbox mode we don't this issue so from the website platform there is no issue.

Hi @digixess ,

Yes, Guest payment checkout(i.e payment via credit/debit without PayPal account) feature is not available for all Customers/Buyers. PayPal runs a risk check to determine eligibility for guest checkout. There will be times when guest checkout is not available.

This option is presented based on several risk factors, including but not limited to the buyer's PayPal purchase history, PayPal cookies stored on the buyer's computer, the buyer's location, or a credit assessment.

Please refer the below guide link : https://www.paypal.com/in/cshelp/article/how-do-i-accept-credit-cards-with-express-checkout-using-th...

Guest payment checkout(i.e payment via credit/debit without PayPal account) is not available to none of the customers.   No customers are seeing this Even for us(where they see guest checkout on other websites). Kindly all 4 websites from same Paypal account are not seeing the guest checkout option on live mode. Previously they did see it. Why the sudden drop in this ???

Paypal is saying everything is fine when we called them. I will try a create a ticket on Home (paypal-support.com)
