Paypal checkout standard

All I can say is wow....why doesn't paypal provide CLEAR instructions on how to do the integration for standard checkout. The video provided I find presumptous.   I have followed the steps and I got as far as NPM. I created the files and folder as required.  I have downloaded the node.js and installed it onto windows 10. It resides in c:/Program Files/nodejs   I attempted to run npm install per the instructions and I get error messages. My website is in VB.net and it's created with Visual Studio. How do I complete this installation? Can you provide clear steps?he screenshot.
