Error "unsupported variable shipping2" in create button, advanced variables section

I get the error "unsupported variable shipping2" in create button dialog for "add to cart" buttons, advanced variables section, this happens when I try to re-save existing buttons that have had the variable set up and working correctly in the past. I get the same error if I try to set up new buttons.  The shipping2 variable is supposed to allow a different shipping rate for second and subsequent items in the cart. This was working properly for me in the past and I use it successfully on multiple "add to cart" buttons.   I only get the error when I try to resave a button after changing something e.g. the item price.

I fixed my buttons!
support pointed me to a legacy page where I was able to edit advanced variables using the old interface and it worked for me, I was able to reinstate lost variables there. I would describe this as alife-saving work-around for those who are losing money right now, can't say I have much confidence that this solution will be available in the long term, but it might help patch up the mess until you have a better solution. Same problem, but with variable "on5".   Worked fine in June 2023 and every month for the past five years +.

@MTS_Chiranjeevi Can you please provide a direct link to the legacy platform  that you mentioned, I cannot find it from the direction you gave below

I can't figure out how to get back to the Legacy Buttons area.  The only thing I can find is this:

Important:

PayPal: What have you done?  You've taken a simple button creation tool and made the process very complicated.  It seems you changed from HTML Forms to JavaScript.  Why?  Now instead of the "Add to Cart" button you are sending me to a 3rd Party Supplier?  Is there a communication that explains this?  I never have seen any such communication letting me know that this was coming.

After you log in to PayPal you can get to legacy buttons by typing https://www.paypal.com/buttons/ Into your browser address bar and loading the page, that is to say, it works on my account.

In the "solution" from @MTS_Chiranjeevi he mentions making use of the "legacy" page to maintain older buttons, I'd be happy to use that but I have been unable to find the page mentioned from the directions he gave, despite spending over an hour trawling through every menu and support page I could find.  If you had any more success finding that page I'd be really pleased to hear where it is or see a proper link or screenshot. Good luck with fixing your problem, I guess other people will be running into the same problem soon! I'm now seriously considering moving away from paypal altogether, perhaps to worldpay or stripe.

case is already logged there, (different email address) case number

Standard reply given so far at MTS does not address the issue, and does not give any option to use legacy buttons, even though text says "existing users and buttons will be supported"
Various advanced variables are not being accepted when users try to edit / save buttons.

@MTS_Chiranjeevi  have you tried to do this on the paypal platform yourself? Have you been successful? If so can you provide a link to the page that works?
