Hi, Yesterday I got text saying there was unauthorised access to my PayPal account so I changed my password. Later I noticed there was a pending payment of £141 to currys however I've not purchased anything from this retailer. I tried to put it to the resolution centre however it said it was unable to do anything with that particular transaction, I'm guessing due to being pending. Some of the funds were allocated from my bank account, however my bank account does not appear to have allocated the money and I've cancelled the direct debit to PayPal. Any ideas what to do?
When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
So i would contact Currys and tell them not to capture the payment and cancel any orders.
