Fee when sending payment as gift with American Express card

When I want to send an AU$475 gift to someone it is showing me that there is an approximately $15 fee to use my American Express credit card.  There is also a fee listed for my Mastercard credit card but not for my VISA debit card.  Is there a way to avoid this fee and send someone money with my American Express card?

Sadly not, friends/family ie gift payments are only free if funded via a bank account and not a credit card.
