Creating Japan account in English

I’m currently living in japan and I’d like to create a Japanese paypal account. When I view the website (of course in Japanese) I can’t change just the language; I can only change the country. It seems the Japanese site used to be able to change the language. Or can I log into my American account and manage both American and Japanese accounts?

You should be able to just add the language to your current account.  Not 100% sure on that though.  I have a Japanese account and have two languages on it.  Paypal cleverly hides the change language button down in the bottom right of the page so most of the time you can not use it due to the auto scroll of pages.  I would like to find the moron that did that and give him a bit of my mind.

If you do set up an account in Japan do not expect too much help in English.  They do offer the language option on phone support but most of the people you end up talking to are just reading scripts and as such can not engage you or understand if you have an issue that they do not already know of.
