Hi All,
What assurances do I have that I will get my money back if the product I'm purchasing doesn't come through?
The gentleman I am buying a product from says he wants me to send him money using paypal.me, but I'm not sure if that provide any consumer protection?
Thanks for your assistance!

That depends on MANY factors all listed in Paypals buyer protection policy for you to read so you can risk assess your transactions.
Legal (bottom right of Paypals pages) > user agreement > buyer protection.
Paypal is not an insurance policy and only give you 'some' buyer protection so read up on it first.
If he is sending a personal paypal.me link MAKE SURE you tick the goods/services option so that you are not sending a 'gift' payment via friends / family.
It would be better if he sent you a money request OR invoice FULLY describing the item you are paying for so that you have that evidence in case you have to open a dispute for 'not as described'.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
