Hi I keep receiving emails from PayPal to say I owe the above company an amount of cash.was wondering if it's a scam?

Did you find out who they are or what it’s for.  They have been trying to get a payment every month for the last 4 or so years from me.....

Hi there yeah they been trying to do the same exact thing with me i supposed to own them almos 1500

They are trying to get 1000 or so from me. Has anyone found proof of them getting any money from you? Has PayPal offered any help in figuring this out?

Paypal won't close my account because they claim I owe VBBCOM $1000.  

VBBCOM owns VideoBB, which was a streaming site from the UK that was trying to be the next YouTube. I subscribed to VideoBB for one month. But then they shut their site down. Paypal has been trying to process an automatic payment for VideoBB every single month since 2015, Paypal has been trying to charge me since VideoBB cclosed. My same bank account info is in my account. They haven't been able to process any payments because VideoBB closed their site, so the payments stopped processing. 

I contacted Paypal today to close my account and was told I owe $1000 to VideoBB, my choices are either they'll send me to collections or I can pay the money. I'm exploring my options with an attorney. (Whose also my husband..lol). 

From what I understand, Paypal sends the merchant money and then when you pay the money goes to you. So clearly VideoBB has still been accepting payments from Paypal, even though they are now a defunct company. 

This isn't our problem.. this is PayPal that messed up.  I'll come back and post when I learn more about what we can legally do to stop Paypal from trying to syphon money from us.
