Im currently an ebay reseller trying to file my sales tax AU-11 because my expenses this quarter is greater than my gross sales and gathering documents to get it done. Im currently trying to gather receipts from the activity section of my paypal to submit my shipping labels as well as my sales to the Tax Dept in Albany. My understanding is that every document/receipt I send them has to have proof the identity of the seller (me) and the buyer..etc. What I go look at every "receipt" I have under the Activity Section for my Shipping labels I have paid for, the seller info displays as "eBay Inc Shipping" with a random email address related to ebay and shipping labels....nowhere on the receipt is my own name displayed to indicate my direct identity on the receipt I am worried that the Tax Dept will probably not accept this as documentation towards my tax filing. The closest thing I can probably think of the reciept does to indicate my direct identity is the fact that it displays the last 4 digits of my credit card #. But even then, I think this may not be sufficient.
On receipts where my sales activity are indicated, I do not see any indication of my direct identity either..this time no seller info indicating it is my sale.
Curious to know about other people's experience using paypal receipts for tax documentation filing. This is my first quarter filing taxes so please bare with me. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks and happy holidays!
