Ok people, so this might be a dumb question, and I am already 90% sure that this is some illegal activity but just to be 100% sure ai thought I might ask you lot. So recently i was supposed to sell pomeranian dog to a person in other country. That person said that she only accepts paypal as a payment method which I agreed to. So I gave my email adress and we agreed on the ammount of money. Today I got a mail from that person saying that she sent the money to my paypal ans to look in spam folder for confirmation mail. When I checked spam mailbox I saw that there are two mails from paypal. One is from paypal agent that says I should talk to him if I have problems or questions and the other one is saying that the transaction is 99% done and that I just need to fill something to complete. Now I am not buying that, but just to be sure I wanted to ask here since it is my first time receiving payment via paypal. Thank you all very much for unerstanding and help!

SCAM.

They encourage you to accept a 'direct' Paypal payment and may ask you to send the item internationally.
No funds or activity of the transaction shows in your Paypal account and any emails 'may' go into your junk or spam folders.

They don't quibble on cost and say they will arrange a shipping agent to collect the item etc.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't because they don't actually have a Paypal account and have no intention of paying you.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

The 'fake' paypal email will tell you that the buyer has paid for the item + shipping costs but you must send those shipping costs to the courier/ shipping agent via western union, moneygram or walmart etc BEFORE the funds are released to you.
They are not interested in your dog, they just want the western union etc funds and you will never see money in your paypal balance.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service eg Moneygram or Western Union etc.
Also their is no seller protection on paypal for any item that is collected by the buyer.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.
