Keeps happening when eBay buyers want to cancel transactions on me. eBay item £34.99 PayPal amount after fee deduction £33.68 eBay buyer asks me to cancel PayPal takes £33.98 out of my account. Why are paypal taking an extra 30 pence?? Okay its 30 pence but this has happened too many times where I need it reporting. It all adds up...
Because you no longer get the fee refunded as part of your 'refund' anymore so you pay the full amount and you still pay the fee as paypal has provided you with the service of processing your buyers payment for you and the refund.
