Need to return earrings to PayPal I guess? Somehow?

Jerk buyer asked to return Tiffany earrings and a Tiffany pin that were in perfect condition.

Ebay okayed the return of the pin only.

Buyer sent back both pin and earrings to me in same large envelope.

I did not see the earrings in the envelope.

Told PayPal the buyer was lying because I didn't see the earrings.

Just cleaned out my eBay room.

Found the darn earrings in my paper recycle bin.

I assume PayPal made the buyer whole because the case is closed.

Some people might just keep the earrings, but that doesn't sit right with me.

Now what?

Thanks.

Huh? So what does that mean? Did the buyer tell you that or you thought you sent the earrings but your found them in your paper recycle bin?

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

No one authorized the earring return, just the pin.  I refunded the pin.  The buyer slipped the earrings in with the pin and told me so.  When I opened the envelope, all I saw was the pin, so I told Paypal the buyer was lying and that she still had the earrings.  Paypal said with their guarantee, they would reimburse the buyer, even though they suspected the buyer still had the earrings.  Then Paypal reimbursed the buyer, and I did not have to pay the buyer anything.  So the earrings are actually here in my possession AND I got to keep the money the buyer paid me initially.

So confusing.  Thank you.
