Large fake donations

We have received several notifications regarding large donation attempts in excess of $50,000 from Russia and Ukraine. No doubt these are not real. I emailed spoof@paypal.com, and they replied that they would investigate but meanwhile more have come in. No additional response from PayPal. I'm not sure how exposed I am, or even why someone would attempt such a large donation as a fake transaction.
Are there measures I can take to protect my account from these types of scams?

Check your PayPal account for these donations. If you spotted none of them, then it hasn't affected your account but just spoof emails.
Also check the sender email addresses on the emails. If you see some gibberish, spammy lookin' email addresses then you know they're spam/phishing emails.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
