I-Tune Cards Wanted By Scammers.

Does anyone know why some online-scammers would want you to get them an 

I-Tunes card, instead of some sort of money transfer?

It just seems odd, as you could only use the cards to purchase music from Apple I-Tunes,

or is there a way that the scammers can sell the cards to convert them to cash ?
