How Paypal Works (its philosophy/business model)

I "sent" the following to Paypal on 20/10/2019. Unfortunately I forgot to record  HOW I sent it to them, so cannot be sure if I've actually had any response to it.

Wondered if anyone had any comments on what I said?  TIA

To Paypal 20/10/2019

I was looking for a kind of overview to help my understanding. I signed up to Paypal in 2004, but haven't used it much since then, and I was trying to get my head around what it is.

Am I right in thinking it is an intermediary between my bank account(s) and a company with whom I wish to do business, or to put it another way a safe vault to store my bank data where it is not visible to the company with whom I am undertaking a transaction?

I thought the words on your website "With PayPal, you can send, spend and manage your money with just one account.

" are a little misleading, as clearly you also need bank accounts, so it is not just one account, or am I misunderstanding something here?

I hope you are going to send me a reply to this, and yet I am not sure whether I will get one. Another sign of ambiguity/difficulty in knowing what's what with your site?.

Try reading the user agreement as that explains everything you need to know.

Then there are the help pages top of every paypal page for specific questions or advice on here.

Very bottom right of this page and click on legal > user agreement.

Or you would have agreed to it when you registered a paypal account.
