Can't use my new card reader

I purchased a Paypal card reader. I downloaded the app, but when I tried to register I was taken to a blank page. I tried again but now receive a message that I've tried too many times so my account has been blocked.

One thing that may be worth a try is to try a forced restart on your device.  For example, with IOS devices:  Force-restarting an iPhone 6s, SE or earlier. Hold down the Home button (the one on the front of the iPhone or iPad) as well as the power button.  Keep both buttons held until the Apple logo appears. Now let go of the buttons and wait while your device complete its start sequence.   Not knowing what your device is, you may want to look it up.  It shouldn't be too difficult.    No guarantees but, at least worth a try.   (I've had luck doing this with my phone when it misbehaves.)
