Paypal access card not working

Hi. Could anyone help me. My paypal access card has stopped working since yesterday (10/09/14) both in ATMs and in store for purchases. Just kkep getting a message "this action is not available on your card, please contact issuer".
Everything was fine until yesterday, and only been trying to use it in the same machines and stores that have always accepted it.

Mine hasn’t worked since midday 3/09/14. When I called them the girl I spoke to sounded surprised that i didn’t know there was a problem with the access cards which is funny as paypal don’t seem to have informed anyone. She said there has been a problem since September 1st and this seems to be all anyone else has been told. I really rely on my access card and the lack of information I'm getting at the moment is inexcusable. You can try calling them but don’t expect to get very far.

Hello,
I activated my PayPal Access Card and received my PIN. I tried looking under my name and there was no 'upgrade' link or word there to upgrade to a premier account. I accidentally came across something that I clicked though and it said its already upgraded to a premier OR business account (mine says business account).
But anyway, I have a few dollars/pounds in my account and just wanted to try out the new card. But it says there is £0 available. I dont understand this since there IS a little bit of money in my PayPal account?
Can anyone help please?

had the same problem as all you people regarding post office payment on monday. all payment attempts done at the post office on monday have been refund to my paypal account. so no payment has been receive by the post office for posting on monday. when i phone customer services on monday evening about this problem got told a supervisor would call me with in 48 hoursof me phoning them. as of now no phone call receive. now them to add to this problem, try to used my paypal access card today at the post office at approx 16:15 card decline but no payment has been withdrawn from my account. used card in poundland for enevlopes and at a cash point worked fine. so whats the problem at the post office. have they decided to deline payments from paypal access cards now.

exactly same problem
monday declining and taking money (which has been refunding)
tuesady declining (not taking funds though)
weds 12pm access card still declining (not taking funds though)
this is becoming a major inconvenience

Has anyone had their money debited back into their Paypal account yet?
I dont know whats happening at the moment, Paypal Access card are totally aware of the situation, but dont seem to be rectifying it at all
Managed to speak to someone yesteday who just took my details and someone was supposed to ring me back, funnily enough no one has...
Will pester them again today, but it is completely out of order.
Dont know whether I am supposed to disute the transaction on Paypal? take it up with HSBC/ post office counters, I just don know.
Is anyone out there getting any help with the situation??

A similar issue here. An online payment (not the post office) failed two days ago, but the money was still taken out of my PP account. I called customer services and they said someone would call within 48 hours, this hasn't happened. Please keep us updated.

i was refunded monday, but i did a lot of holding pover three phone calls and id kept the declined transaction slips to sort the issue. And when i did get through it was resolved promptly, its just the getting through.
But it is becoming a major inconvenience the card been constantly declined and embarassement (although thats decereasing it so often). so will try to ring them in a minute and resolve the declined transaction problem.

Hi i have had the exact same problem. Since 1st September there was an issues when people went to the post office. I tried twice and it fail even though there plently of money in the account, in the end had to pay with another card. I got told by paypal that the post office had update its payment method over night and something went wrong with it. Couple of days later i got a refund.
Now since then the card has not been working ive spend 7hrs on the phone as i have to make business payments via card. The phone lines are to busy and not answering. I have been told today by a lady on receiption that alots of people are having same issue.
I want to cry ive lost business and customers are getting parcels late. I am thinking why bother if they cant provide a service i can use amazon or another service. But PayPal have let us down. They have not even sent customers a email explaining there issue they just keep us in the dark and that not got customer service.
You ring their number its an 0845 it charging you and you never get through shocking behaviour. But if anyone wants to try their luck then ring paypal on 0800 and they will transfer you.
