I've renewed my API certificate.

- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the "Profile" cog wheel in the top right corner of the page.
- Click "Account Access" on the left.
- Click "Update" across from API access.
- In the NVP/SOAP API Integration section, click "Manage API Credentials ."
- Click "Renew certificate."

The instructions end there. What do I do next?

Hi @JSJames

Typically, when a certificate expires, it stops your payment processing application from working. When merchants use certificates, they have certificates in the header attached to every call they make so that PayPal can easily identify and verify them.

What this means for you is, if you are using a Certificate in your application, you'll need to replace the expired one with the new one. If you aren't using a certificate in your application yet, but need to, you can follow this information which outlines how you may need to encrypt it and put it into your SDK implementation. If you're not really using an SDK or you're trying to implement this into a third party shopping cart, you may need to consult with the Shopping Cart Provider on where they need the Certificate placed.

I hope that helps!
