Unconfirmed Address

I've tried to read some of the Post about this, but I'm still confused. Problem is, that when reviewing a purchase, I saw where my ship-to address was not confirmed. Read some post here seeing where it was discussed, and questions about if it was even necessary, and another post saying that some vendors wouldn't mail to you, if your address wasn't confirmed.  How do I get my address confirmed ?

Have a good Day ! 🙂

Welcome SWHouston

Your address will show as confirmed when you add a credit card on file that has a billing address associated with it that matches the address you have within your PayPal profile.

As a side note, confirmed addresses are no longer a requirement but you may still find some sellers that are reluctant to ship to an unconfirmed address.  This is a personal decision they are making and not a requirement of PayPal.  I am also aware that some customers are showing their address as unconfirmed within their profile, but when the transaction goes through it is showing up as confirmed for the seller and PayPal.

This is a cosmetic issue within your PayPal account and does not impact what is actually seen by us or by the seller.  I hope this helps clear up your question and I appreciate your participation in our community.  Take care.

I've run into this issue too and it is rather frightening since I just bought a $1300 guitar this weekend!  I moved and updated my address on e-bay as well as paypal and through my bank (existing listed card on paypal).  I got a call from my bank's fraud dept on Sunday!  I verified the purchase.  I have e-mailed the seller with no response.  I did finally get some other info on the seller (phone # & 2 other e-mail addresses).  I talked to paypal and was even more confused!  So I am going to spend the day making phone calls, sending e-mails and sitting on pins & needles worrying about my purchase.  The woman at Paypal said my new address is not linked to my bank card (I know the address is correct with my bank!) and I may have to cancel the transaction and redo it???  Is Paypal just slow on updating info?  or should I be worried?  Thanks
