Hello all,
There have been quite a few topics on this issue recently so hopefully I can clear up any questions you may have on it.
Over the last week or two we have noticed an issue on customers accounts in which their previously confirmed address is now showing as unconfirmed. This is an issue we are aware of and have our engineers working to fix as soon as possible. As you can imagine, the PayPal system is very complex so we do not have a timeframe for this.
In the mean time I am sure some of you are worried about Seller Protection and how this issue impacts your coverage. In the past there was a need for a Seller to ship to a confirmed address in the Transaction Details to be covered under our Seller Protection Policy. This is now no longer needed. Shipping to a confirmed address is no longer a requirement under our Seller Protection Policy, you can post to buyer addresses in any of the 190 countries where PayPal is accepted and be covered.
For more information on our Seller Protection Policy you can click here

I've had enough, personally. PayPal used to be a convenience, now it's a pain. Wrong shipping addresses you can't get rid of so you don't know where a package is coming; unconfirmed accounts that are several years old, making it hard to win bids or sell; customer service reps that don't have any answers to problems even when you explain them so that a 2-year old can understand; and of course PayPal is NEVER wrong.
I'm closing my account. I'll take my chances with the "old fashioned" way of using a credit card, or Amazon where I can have the transaction deducted from my bank account like a debit card. Thanks for couple of times you made it easy, PayPal, but you've just gotten **bleep**ed up to the point where you're more of a liability than an asset.

Overstock also has auctions. Most are businesses, but we might be able to join and sell on there. It uses PayPal, too, but I'm sure we can use credit/debit cards as well.

It just dawned on me!
This forum, like so many others, is nothing more than PayPal's way of making us think they are actually going to take what we say seriously. We vent our frustrations because psychologically it's comforting to know there are others who feel the same way.
We feel like we are contributing something by adding our comments when in fact they go unnoticed by the powers that be. Every week I get updated with the latest comments. They're all the same!! People continue to put their concerns on "e-paper" but nothing ever happens.
We are the lab rats. The PayPal "scientists" (LOL!) just sit back and observe.

Well, it been over 2 months now, time to hire some new engineers. My address just began showing up as unconfirmed exactly as others have described (there have been no changes to my address or any cards or accounts in years) so the problem is getting worse not better.

SERIOUSLY? This is still unresolved! There is no excuse. I'm finding it hard to believe this is a glitch. My address has been the same for 20 years and was confirmed many years ago. What gives?

I'm also showing up as unconfirmed. All I could do is sent an email to the seller and tell him I don't know why it says unconfirmed. Hopefully, if he's unsure about sending the item I paid for, he'll send me an email and I can tell him to check the community help forum.
