Pay Pal and Bill Me Later

Suddenly ALL my purchases via Pay Pal are being processed though BML. I checked my profile and BML is NOT my primary funding source so why is this happening. In the last few days purchases from EBay, as well as 2 on line purchases. I would rather they be direct debited through my bank but the option isn't being offered any longer...what gives?

Hi Rie811,

Welcome!

Where in your profile did you check? Just to confirm that where you looked is the correct place check here:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click “Profile.”
  3. Click “Bill Me Later" under Financial Information.
  4. Under “Manage Bill Me Later Account," click to either add Bill Me Later as your preferred payment method or remove Bill Me Later as your preferred payment method.

I must call BS on this explanation. I have had PayPal randomly select BML as the payment source for transactions both inside and outside eBay.  I DO NOT have BML as my default payment source.  I just re-verified per the instructions above.

To exacerbate the matter, BML is not reliable in sending a monthly bill or reminder when payment is due.  I have them in my Contact list, and also review spam file before clearing, so I am aware of what comes through.

I am curious how many others experience similar behavior.  Is this chronic?

The first time it happened, BML was conciliatory.  It just happened again, and the position is, "we tricked you fair and square."

I terminated my BML account.

how do i get rid of this god **bleep** bill me later, what a scam, they offer me $20 paypalbucks to use it so I did, but they didn't ever give me squat.  It shows up each time I log onto paypal.  Paypal won't return my emails asking how to get rid of this scam crap.  I am really mad about this.  Does anyone know the secret to unsigning up?
