My issue with PayPal is I'm tired of the continual harassment. At least that's how it feels sometimes. I signed on years ago, gave them access to one of my credit cards and proceeded to do business. Only reason I did any of this in the first place is because more and more vendors were using the service. I didn't see the point of having yet another "layer" of bureaucracy (which also added to the cost of doing business) in the loop but it was what it was. Next thing I know, I'm getting continual harassment from PayPal to be "verified" in their system. I'd only been doing business through them for some number of years already. If they didn't know who I was by now, what's the point. Anyway, getting verified required one of two options, either apply for PayPal's credit card or give them direct access to my banking accounts. Well first, I already had more credit cards than I should have and definitely "did NOT" need or want another one and there was no way in **bleep** I was going to give them direct access to my bank accounts, especially when it was PayPal who virtually insisted on it.
Now we've got the "Electronic Delivery Policy" thing and every time I need to communicate with them, I get the message that says, either agree to the new policy or we'll close your account at the end of the year, period! So Ok, I finally get tired of that, click the box and try to continue on and what does PayPal say? They actually "thank" me for "choosing" the policy. I don't really feel like I chose anything. I did, per say, but when the choice is do what we tell you to or leave, that's not really a choice. If PayPal wants to institute 100% electronic delivery, they should just say so, have everyone acknowledge the policy change and move on. What happens to those who don't have internet access?
These things may seem pretty petty to some and I am just blowing off steam to some degree but to me it comes across as an attitude on PayPal's part that I'm getting tired of. I'll give them credit for working themselves into something close to the equivelent of the electronic indispensable man but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
Oh well!

I looked high and low and I can't find ANYWHERE to sign the electronics communications delivery policy. Can anyone at PayPal or Ebay explain this to us? We're all trying to comply, but we need to know EXACTLY where to go in here.

Click the Electronic Communications Delivery Policy link and read the policy |
I keep getting these emails that ask me to update my account. I can not find this click. From the comments below I guess it is not that "easy"

I'm glad to read the other posts about this "spoof" email from PayPal. With everything on the news now (Clark Howard) and the different Co.'s who had their email lists compromised, I am suspicious about every email that says "click here" even though it is from "known company". So, I went to PayPal link first, and then started looking for the electronic delivery link. What a complete waste of time! I hope PayPal can redeem themselves. I rely on PayPal for a lot. AQ

Add me to the list. I couldn't find the link either. I even went on live chat and who or whatever I was talking to didn't have a clue as to what I was asking.
I think everyone is right as to they sent the e-mail before setting up the website.

I don't think anyone has established this for sure. I'm still thinking it may be a spoof email, but not willing to click on it to find out, and end up with a virus among other things. PayPal needs to figure this one out. AQ

I always go to the source...don't click on links in emails. If you do click on a link in an email be sure to look at the address to see where you are being directed...sometimes it's totally unrelated to where you think you are going and trying to get you to put your password etc into their system. I didn't see a link anywhere on PayPal 's website for this new policy, so I'm assuming it is a hoax or spoof. Also, I sent the email to spoof@paypal.com to see if they confirm it is a phishing email or real. Just be careful as there are a lot of people trying to get your information and steal from you!!! crazy world. Lynnae
