Unable to add bank account (We're not able to process your request right now.)

Hi,

 

Paypal removed my bank account after a ebay vendor tried to withdraw money even though payment was made via debit card? 

Anyway I an unable to add the bank account back - it keeps reporting "We're sorry. We're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later." which is not very helpful.

 

How can I get the account added back to my Paypal account?

Hi LinnK,

I am very sorry to see that you are having trouble linking your bank account to PayPal.

The only thing you could do in this situation or the error message your facing is link your bank another way which takes 2-3 business days by using your account number and routing number.

Unfortunately, this problem cannot be fixed to link your bank account instantly so you will have to link it the other way.

Unfortunately there is no option to use account number and sort code - I only have the option to insert an IBAN number.

Is there a different process to using a account number and sort code vs IBAN?

Hi LinnK, 

Okay so I see that you cannot login with your account number and routing number, so you will have to use your IBAN (International Bank Account Number) to link your bank account.

Yes, there is a different proccess of linking your bank to PayPal using your routing number and account number, but that isn't available to you so you will need to contact your bank and get your IBAN in order to link your bank account to PayPal

If you do not live in the U.S we use a different method of linking your bank account for international wire transfers, so you will need to use your IBAN to link your bank account to PayPal.

You can find your IBAN by contacting your local bank.

Let me be clear 

 

- I am unable to re-add my bank account using IBAN (The only option available)- it keeps reporting "We're sorry. We're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later." 

 

- I do not have the option to use Account number & Sort code

 

- I have the correct IBAN number as it was used before to add it to my Paypal but Paypal removed it after an ebay vendor transaction.

 

- My account is based within the EU (Ireland)

 

Question is: How can I get the account (using IBAN) added back to my Paypal account, I need a way to fix the current blocker "We're sorry. We're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later."
