Payment Pending

My friend sent money across to help with a cashflow difficulty within my business.  I have tried to transfer it to my account and the account is now pending for 72 hours.  In simple terms this means that I won't be able to pay my sub contractors tomorrow and I won't be able to start a large contract on Monday meaning I will lose potentially thousands of pounds.

 

This transaction could literally ruin my business and this is not being dramatic.  I have called customer service and they've stated there is nothing they can do.  I am happy that they undertake checks but they must be able to work faster than 72 hours in situations like this (when I can produce evidence)! Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?  I wish that I'd never used PayPal in the first place.

Hopefully, the withdrawal has reached your bank account since your message to us. Unfortunately, when a withdrawal hold has been placed it is not possible to release it manually and speed up the transfer for you. I apologize for the inconvenience.
