Money request from stanger

I just recieved a request for 100 dollars from a person I dont know. I canceled the request I'm curious if there is anything I can do to make sure my account will not charged for this or any other like it without my permission?

Its a request for money, if you don't pay it then they can't take it themselves.

Sounds as if someone made a spelling error with the email address they sent the request to and it went to you by mistake.
