How to specify the Correspondent Bank when withdrawing money to my bank account?

Hello,

Background

I'm in Thailand.

I happen to have an account with a bank that is not a "correspondent bank". So when I withdraw money to my bank, it goes through one of the other correspondent banks in Thailand.

So far, I've managed to ascertain that the bank that PayPal uses is Bank of America... but it may also sometimes choose to send money via Bangkok Bank. Or maybe UOB. Or maybe Kasikorn Bank.

For official reasons, I sometimes need to provide a bank statement that shows money transferred from overseas. Local Thai banks (for some bizarre reason) don't have this information. They get the money from the correspondent bank, with no information about where it comes from originally.

So I (and countless others) have to go find each of the correspondent banks and request statements from them about each overseas transaction.

Bank of America charges $6.50 for each transaction! Bangkok Bank charges $20 for a statement covering the previous 12 months (as a non-customer). That's still pretty steep, but not nearly as bad as BoA. They recently charged me $90 for my last 12 months' transactions. If I open an account with Bangkok Bank then they will only charge around $5 for this statement.

The Question

So, how can I can specify which correspondent bank to be used to withdraw my money from my PayPal account to my bank account?

Even if I'm not a Bangkok Bank customer, I'd at least like to avoid having my money passing through Bank of America.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance...
