adding a visa card problem

So I have a gift card added to my account a VISA giftcard and it is connected to my account. But when I try to check out in twtich it sends me to paypal but says I need to add a card? Once I the VISA card again it does not work and still needs a card? Anyone know what the problem is?

Hi @hairfliper,

I'm sorry to hear that you're being prompted to add a card when you have a card in your Wallet. This will happen when the card on file cannot be used for the transaction that is being attempted. That can happen for a few reasons. Please make sure that the card is registered with the issuing bank to the exact same name and address that are listed in your PayPal account. Please also make sure that there are no issues with any recent transactions in your account that have used that card. If that is all in order, it is possible that either the bank declined the transaction or the PayPal security system has detected risk that causes the transaction to be declined as it is currently set up. The use of a different payment method will cause the security system to reevaluate the transaction and it may be successful with that method instead.
