Wait a day or two and contact your card issuer to see if there is an incoming transfer, if not contact PayPal customer service for assistance. This is user to user forums so no one has access to your account to handle specific issues.

To contact customer service for assistance:

Log on, click HELP on top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US or other contact options.

Or contact via social media:

Once transfer is marked the complete, PayPal has processed your request to transfer, that's when the clock starts until when your debit card posts your funds. The card/bank does not notify PayPal that the funds have been deposited. The time it takes will vary depending on the card/bank. It takes up to 10 days for the bank to notify PayPal of any problems and PayPal notifies you. If after 14 days there is no money or notification, please contact customer service to trace the transfer:

Log on, click HELP on top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US or other contact options.

Once transfer is made, it cannot be canceled.

Times of arrival are estimated. PayPal has no control over the systems that processes these transfers once processed and it's also depending on your card and their processing. Money don't just fly over the wifi. Different systems processes these transactions. If you need emergency money or in a rush, PayPal's not the one. You have to allow extra time, even if you do use the instant transfer option because you never know with technology.

I transferred money and both the bank and PayPal are in the USA. Takes five days to clear and that makes no sense to me. My bank says it should be available immediately but that each institution has their own policies.

I could complain to the banking regulators and others but they aren’t going to change the policy.
