Refund exchange rate

So I had purchased the item priced 1999USD, paid 2,734.80 CAD, rate at 1 USD = 1.3681 CAD on Dec 5, 9:40 PM.

Then the seller refund me 1999USD on Dec 6, 1:40 AM. So that was about 5 hours away from the time I paid.

And on paypal's policy, it says:

If PayPal performed a currency conversion for your transaction and a refund is issued:

  • Within 1 day of the date of the original payment, PayPal’s transaction exchange rate (including our currency conversion fee) used at the time of the original payment will apply.
  • Beyond 1 day of the date of the original payment, PayPal’s transaction exchange rate (including our currency conversion fee) on the date of the refund will apply.

So I wonder if I would be counted as within 1 day or beyond 1 day? Cuz it is 5 hours apart, but it did pass the midnight.

Says within 1 day (24 hours) of date of orig. payment so we can agree that Dec 6, 9:40 PM would be 24 hrs from Dec 5, 9:40 PM, right?? Correct?? And it was refunded 5 hours later at Dec 6, 1:40 AM so then the original rates should be applicable. Since you've been refunded already, click on the refund transaction details to check how much was refunded. Is it the same amount?
