Hi,

That link doesn't correspond to what I'm seeing on my account. I don't see an option for 'manage currencies' or 'balance conversion' or 'payment conversion' ...

There is currently a class-action lawsuit on this starting in Ontario, Canada.

I would highly recommend finding a law-firm willing to file a claim on similar facts (a customer has a right to deny PayPal forcing conversion through their system (+hidden 2.5% fees - hidden b/c they do not clarify what exchange rate are being used).

I think Paypal is a big sham and scam.
I hope I´m right about the deduction below:

My thought is that Paypal steals enormous amounts by having lousy exhange rates. The advertise with "no fees", but thats just because they steal money through the conversion. I was trying to buy some guitars, and started looking into this.
One guitar was:

€1495, which in my bank converts to 14904 NOK

In Paypal

14904 NOK converts to €1439. 45€ stolen by paypal.
Now, to actually make the recipient get whats his, I need to add more to my intitial sum.

15540=€1495 => 4.267% increase, which goes into Paypals pockets.

Now, if I would use the "FREE" transfer between friends, I would use EUROs, but I would still get the horrible transaction rate, but its hidden.
