So I sold my laptop on eBay but the person wanted to use PayPal and so I sold it to her on PayPal she sent the money I requested but it is pending. But I have just received a message from eBay saying that the person I had been talking to was under investigation for fraud ..I can see the money pending in my account. It says it should be in my account by the end of tomorrow but the email I’ve gotten from eBay is kinda freaking me out making me think that I have got scammed can someone shed some light on what I should do
I would hold off until the funds are released and issue a refund because the funds can be from a stolen financial instrument or the eBay account was hacked. I'd rather have the laptop to sell another day and let it stolen from me on a trick. And ALWAYS conduct the sale within ebay.
