Thanks for reaching out! For your specific country, there's actually only one way to add funds into your account balance from outside of PayPal; through your FNB bank account. Before we continue, here's a few bullet-points about that process.
- You can use your PayPal balance to send money if you top up from your FNB account.
- You cannot use your PayPal balance to send money if the source of your balance is from a payment you received. This is a mandate from the South Africa Reserve Bank, and PayPal must abide by these laws in order to provide our services in South Africa.
- Similarly, when you top up your balance from your FNB bank account, FNB will provide you with an online form so you can report how you intend to use these payments. This is legally required if you wish to make purchases or send money using your PayPal balance.
To answer your original question, you can visit FNB and they will assist you in adding funds to your PayPal account. I hope that clears everything up!
