Money sent to me shows "received, pending" why?

I am new to Paypal and the Community have only sent/received money a few times so I'm still trying to figure somethings out.

Anywho my husband sent some money from his account to my paypal which he had done once before but unlike the first time this time it shows the money has been received "pending" where as the first time it was instantly in my account. It shows that it should have been in my account today but It's still not showing up. Am I missing something? The first time money was sent to me all it did was notify me and I opened my account to see it there, but since it is already day 6 since he sent it and its still not there I am wondering if I have to do something different to access it.

Thanks for taking the time to help me.

Also you can click "add tracking" and update the order status to Order Processed or Service Rendered and then have your husband confirm it through the transaction on his end to release the funds. It is super important to indicate the correct payment type when sending personal payments or it will get held up. You can select payment type under the amount field when sending funds.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Perhaps the money sent was a commercial payment, not a personal one. If you were charged a PayPal fee, then it is likely it was a commercial payment. Click the transaction for more details.

See how to release funds on commercial payments:
