I sent the client an invoice, they paid, it's on HOLD, why?

Can someone please clarify why my payments KEEP getting held?

I have to keep cancelling them because I NEVER receive the funds.

I send the client an invoice using PAYPAL, the client pays it (they WOULDN;T PAY IT IF I HADN'T DONE THE WORK), so the invoice gets paid. I then get a notification saying it was paid and that the money is on hold. I click on the transaction and clarify that it's a digital service not a product.

Then absolutely nothing happens, days and days go by, no funds released.

Am I missing something?

The SAME client has paid me before, it;s NOT AN UNUSUAL activity or unexpected amount, it's not even a lot of money.

I understand PayPal has an agenda to hold funds because in the time they hold the money they make interest on top of the extortionate charges.

This is the last time I ever bother with paypal before I literally stop using the account - for the future I;ll use payoneer like more and more people are doing, because they are absolutely fed up of Paypal.

So, here i am again, waiting for funds that will never be released.

I don;t understand?

Can someone elaborate before I lose my marbles.

Itching to write something massively offensive.

With payments received for tangible goods Paypal would request valid tracking information confirming the item has been delivered to the buyer. As they can validate the tracking information online, once it is delivered they can release the funds. As you have received the funds for a service or digital sale then no tracking number is applicable and Paypal would be unable to release these funds any sooner than the 21 days.

If you mark the transaction as processed then the buyer may have the option on their account to mark the transaction as delivery/satisfied. If the buyer confirms this by clicking on the "Confirm Receipt" button, the funds may be released to you sooner. This is not always guaranteed.
If not then sadly its 21 days.
