How can I link a Canadian bank account with American money?

Hi,

Now that Ebay transfer my funds directly to my bank account, I've open an American funds account at my Canadian bank.

But when I tried to link that account there is a message saying that only bank account with Canadian money is accepted.

Do I have to create a new Paypal account? How can I create an "American money ok" Paypal account?

My goal is simply to be able to transfer my USD money from bank to Paypal to pay in USD when I buy in USD, I can't see why that would not be possible.

Hi @Arteas, 

I understand your concern with this. Typically, only Canadian banks can be added to a Canadian PayPal account. However, if you are given the option to add an account number and routing number then it would be considered a US bank and would send and receive in US currency. If you're given the option to add it with a transit and institution number, then it would be sent in Canadian currency. 

I also would not recommend opening a PayPal account that is registered in any country other than the one you reside in.
