Debit from my bank account

Will PayPal be asking me for permission before withdrawing money from my bank account or it will directly go ahead and deduct money for payment? Which raises security issue.

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

When you make a payment using PayPal the following funding options are used:

1. PayPal Balance - this is used first if you have an available balance on PayPal. 

2. Bank account - if there are no funds in your on your PayPal account balance, the funds will be processed from your bank account. 

3. Credit/Debit card - this is the last funding source chosen if the other 2 options are not available. 

When you check out on PayPal the funding source which we will be used to process the payment is shown to you and you will have the option to change this funding source before completing the payment.
