Adding a card was not accepted but they still charged me?

As the title said, I was trying to add a new card to my account, however it was not loading, so I pressed it 3 times, finally it says something about my address not being correct, I thought that was weird, but I guess no problem I will try to figure it out. However to my surprise I check my online balance on that card, and Paypal had charged me 3 times (1 dollar each time) which is not shown on my activity, so I can not issue a refund.I

So my card isn´t good enough to add to the account, but it´s good enough to charge me?

Does someone have any idea how to get a refund?

Thanks

You clicked it 3 times resulting 3 charges. The card confirming temporary charges and refunds works different from regular purchase transactions. It won't show in your PayPal account activity for you to dispute.

Check your card billing address and your PayPal account billing address to make sure they match, then try to confirm card again and when you successfully confirm the card, all the charges are or should be reversed.

  • If you don't act to confirm your card by entering in the 4-digit code (or your card cannot be confirmed), the charge will be refunded 75 (60 days in Brazil) days from the date of the charge. Based on certain jurisdictions (such as Brazil), the credit may not actually post to your card for up to 30 additional days.

  • If you remove your card or close your account during the time frames above, the return of the credit may not process. In these instances, you  may need to contact PayPal Customer Service to have the charge refunded.

Also call the card company to find out what they have on file (Sometimes, after a recent move, the information may take longer to be updated) or inquire what the problem could be if not the billing address.

If you want to confirm your debit or credit card, but cannot find your PayPal code, you can request a new one to be resent.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click My Account.
  3. Click Confirm my debit or credit card in the To Do List box.
  4. Click Resend PayPal Code at the bottom of the page. If there is more than one card listed, choose the appropriate card from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click Save and Continue.

When you click Save and Continue, your card is charged a small fee. If you have online access to your card statement, it'll take a few business days for the charge to appear, depending on your issuing bank. If you do not have online access, you'll need to wait for your statement in the mail. Your unique, randomly generated 4-digit PayPal code is displayed on your statement near the PayPal fee. In the item description section, you will see it next to the word PAYPAL. You need it to confirm your card.

Note: A new PayPal code may be requested up to 3 times
