I hope all is well.
Sorry to hear that you have to go through this specially on this difficult time. It's possible that the payment that your mom sent to you was sent as payment for "goods or service" instead of for "family or friends". Have you tried the option "confirming receipt'"?
- Click Activity at the top of the page.
- Find and click the original payment for the item.
- Click Confirm receipt.
- Click Yes to confirm that you received the order.
***Not all purchases require receipt confirmation. Option not available on the mobile app, please go to the full website.
If the hold will not be lifted after following the steps above, then you may refer to the email of Paypal regarding the time frame as to when the hold will be lifted.
