is there a way to delete your pay pal account
Unfortunately you cannot delete an account, only close it.
PayPal will not permit you to close an account if you have any outstanding issues (claims / disputes) or transactions.
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
