Been with Paypal for 2 years - major glitch on their part and we have been holding for 4 HOURS. CEO is on social media tweeting - she has over a million followers on LinkedIN and Twitter - dont know what else to do.

Try emailing or sending a personal message to them via their facebook or twitter pages.
Try at a quieter time of day??

I have the same complaint about Paypal phone customer service. Either they are under staffed or they don't care about their customers. Long hold times are inexcuable at an institution you are trusting with your money.
Either hire more staff or don't pretend to offer phone based "customer service".

It would also help if they hired CSRs that you could understand. I dealt with one yesterday that sounded like she had her feet in her mouth. And don't get me started on the call centers outsoursed to countries where English is a third or fourth language.
