Re: Can't get email to confirm - no confirmation sent

The problem with all the 'helpful' answers to all the people who have posted that the email confirmation doesn't work is this...

The answers are all worded as though you assume we're doing something wrong and yes, that's sometimes true.

But PayPal moderators and admins (nothing against, ya, many of my friends are admins), should be taking TWO points of view.

1. Here's what YOU might be doing wrong... try this and this..

AND (the part that is lacking)

2. Give us (PayPal) more info on this and this (like a list of email addresses that might show a troubleshooting pattern) and we'll look and see what WE (PayPal) are doing wrong.

I never see the admins asking us for that all-important troubleshooting info, which makes it look like it never occurs to you that the problem might be on the PayPal side.

Solving technical problems means looking in both directions, not just repeating the help information on the PayPal account site.

I know I could use an alternate confirmation method, but that doesn't solve the problem for others. I'd rather see the problem solved.

This forum, and the UK forum are full of people posting that they can't confirm the email. They click and nothing happens, the email never reaches their box.

I am having the same problem. I've tried about 20 times in the last month.

It's a valid email address. I get mail from everyone else AND from the PayPal forum, so the domain is not blocked by the PayPal forum. Whether it is by PayPal email confirmation, I don't know, but I have another PayPal confirmed email address at the same domain.

I don't have any blocked domains. I receive subscription emails from PayPal forum, so clearly it's not blocked.

I have tried with 3 different browsers. And I've tried to verify the email about 20 times over the last 2 or 3 weeks.

It isn't working.

For every person who posts here that it doesn't work (which is many), there are probably 20 or more with the same problem who don't know about the forum.
