problems with password

I am being told to reset my password on my personal account, but the primary email is the wrong one and no longer valid.  How do I fix this so I can get into my account?

Hi, Hope everthing is doing well. I understand your concern and thank you for contacting community forum. To gain access your account you have to enter your primary email adderess and need to make sure you have access to it. You can click the link in order to reset your password. If you can no longer access the primary email, you may consider creating a brand new paypal account using a different email address. You literally just told me to do exactly what I said I couldn't do.  Did you read my message at all?  Your reply did nothing to help my situation.

Even if I do create a new account, what happens to the credit that I have existing on the old account?  Creating a new account is not an acceptable work around for me.

Another thing, all of my bank information is still on this account, I would prefer to keep that account.
