Two email address endings for same account has created 2 PAYPAL accounts.

Hi there,

My email ends in gmail.com and I was being paid into that. The account was all verified etc. For some reason money started going into the same name email account except with an googlemail.com ending - so essentially the same email address. Problem is that account is not verified (as I don't think I ever set it up, again it's the same email address really) and I am travelling so I can't download the relevant documents. 

I really cannot be stranded without access to my money. I was told I could merge the two accounts - and I really need to. Can anyone please advise. It would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Did you add the googlemail dot com email address to your original PayPal account and verify the email address? If it is essentially the same email address, you should get the email confirmation at your gmail dot com email address, no? If you do this, you will need to close the other PayPal account, then add that googlemail dot com email to your current account.

it won't let me add the address as it says it's in use by another user. And as I said, I cannot verify atm as I am away from my documents.

Is PayPal asking for documents to verify the other account? Seems like you can only take care of this when you have access to your documents to access this other account which you have funds in, correct? Call PayPal customer service to see if you can merge the accounts. No one here is customer service and can't access your account as the forums consists of other PayPal users.
